Drake has been an active investor in savings banks since 1987.  The financial sector has undergone changes in regulatory areas, tax legislation and consumer demand.  These structural changes have lead to an increased number of consolidations and to the conversion of numerous mutual savings banks into stock companies.  Drake’s strong expertise in financial institutions has allowed it to take advantage of these trends in order to maximize investment returns while maintaining its fundamental value orientation.  Drake continues to see many opportunities in this sector.

Money Management and Financial Planning

Drake believes that conditions exist within the international money management sector for a successful consolidation or “build-up” investment strategy.  Drake is acquiring equity interests in small to medium-sized money management firms and is participating with management in the successful implementation of this strategy.  Drake has a proven track record of building a full-service money management enterprise on an international basis.
